Djay Pro and Spotify Integration

Djay Pro and Spotify Integration

Plan: Premium (since 2010)

Country: UK

My Issue:

Anyone using Algoriddim's Djay Pro 2 knows by now that the mixing software is losing integrated access to Spotify by July 2020. Algoriddim have helpfully offered clear instructions for how to migrate to Tidal or Soundcloud (which I will have to do to continue mixing - I'm not going to start downloading and paying per song for music as I'm not that serious about DJing).

However, Spotify have provided no explanation or apology for their motivations and it seems especially odd considering their competitors are all increasing their integration with Djay Pro. Can anyone (read: Spotify) explain why this has happened and perhaps give us some incentive or encouragement to continue using Spotify.

Hi there @HolterL,

thanks for reaching out to the community !

I would recommend following the official Spotify For the Record website, where you can check all the news and facts related to Spotify official information.

If and when Spotify decides to release statements regarding your question, i'm sure you'll be able to view it there.

Hope this helps.

Let me know if you have any further questions 🙂
