Duplicate songs / likes in my library (not playlists)

So when using Spotify I'm constantly annoyed by the fact that I get duplicate songs in my library. Take the new Caribou single(s) for example, a few weeks back there's a new single 'Home', I love it and 'like' it. Today there is a new single called 'You & I' and it also has 'Home' as a b-side. So now there are two versions of the same song. This extrapolates out now where an artist does this every time there is a new single and not an album or ep and it's getting to be a mess, with 3-4 versions of the same song under their name. Is there a plan to remedy this or is it just the new Wild West of Spotify, ways to manipulate the algorithms?

This has been an issue for a long time and as far as I now there no remedy for this.
