Duplicate warning for playlists not working

Duplicate warning for playlists not working

Normally, when I attempt to add a song to a created playlist and that song is already in the playlist, a warning will pop up that asks me if I want to add it as a duplicate or not. However, today I noticed that this warning would not show up. Had the same issue on Spotify for desktop (Windows 10) and my Spotify app for iOS (Version 8.7.40.1558). I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop program and continued to experience the issue, so it doesn't seem like it's a bug on my end. I really enjoy this feature (makes it easier to create and manage playlists) so I hope this isn't a feature that has actually been taken away for some reason.

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app as described on this page? It is a more thorough way to reinstall the app.

Did the duplicate warning come back? If not, could you try looking for it on a different account or device?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
