My Question or Issue
When I try to report a podcast using my Spotify desktop app I start to fill out the report form but get the following error with the URL:
"This type of URI is not supported."
There appears to be no way to proceed.
Any help welcome. Thanks
Hi there @Sammo_Hoi,
Thank you for taking the time to post here in the Community.
To start with, can you try from an incognito/private window? If it still doesn't work you can always head here and follow the steps that's provided in the article.
Let us know how it goes so that we can continue to help you out if you need us to.
Have a great continued weekend 🙂
Hey @Sammo_Hoi,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
As the incognito didn't work, we'd recommend trying it in a different device to see if it makes any difference. Also, make sure the URL doesn´t have any spaces at the beginning or the end.
If the issue persists, let us know the Spotify version you're currently running on your PC to keep investigating.
We'll be on the lookout.
I met the same problem, I wanna report a sexual podcast but it shows the same error, btw, we need to know how to remove recently played list.
They show up right under my top 6 playlists, and it recommends podcasts I've never touched and don't want to see on my home page. I guess I could just report it, but when I used the report button directly from the episode, the link is not supported. I even tried share copy link and it wouldn't work either. just stop showing me podcasts so I can open my music in public.
Hey there,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Currently there is no option to manually customize the home page, but if you listen to different content, soon the app will change the items displayed there by updating them.
There is a running proposal to implement some customization capabilities for users on the home page. You can vote for the idea here.
Hope this helps,
Cheers!
Hey there @Sammo_Hoi,
Thanks for the post.
The only way to report content is through this form. Note that even if you report the podcast, that won't remove it from your Spotify recommendations, as those are automatically generated based on your listening activity and what is most popular with other users listening to similar content.
You're welcome to add your +Vote to the Idea that @Dian has posted previously.
Hope you find this info helpful.
i click report ,it will link to browser web,i verified my email code ,but it shows This type of URI is not supported.(spotify:episode:7HHEcRhWN22IZAMHkRXLyI). i cant report the sexual podcast successful.
Hey folks,
Thanks for getting back to us.
@Sammo_Hoi, no worries, you can report the podcast directly from the app too by clicking on the 3 dots > Report.
@user-removed, in this case, would you mind trying again by following the steps in the article @Alex sent previously?
Keep us posted.
Hello Eni;
I am having the same issue.
As you say there is a report button on the windows app but when you click the button it opens a browser and the form does not work.
I am seriously thinking of switching to another platform if this is not corrected.
My kids want to listen to some music but spotify keeps recommending podcasts containing profanity. And I cannot remove or block them!!!!!
And there is no report button in the iOS app !
Hi @-Atila-!
If the form doesn't work you can try clearing your browser's cookies and cache, then requesting another one and filling it in. You can also try with another browser or another device.
As for controlling the Home screen recommendations, here are two ideas that might resonate with you, so feel free to check them out and share your feedback (if you haven't already):
In case your children are under the age of 13, it's recommended they use the separate Spotify Kids app instead, as the content there is specifically curated for children.
Cheers!
