Friend Feed sidebar disappeared

Hello, the Friends Activity sidebar was working regularly up until today. Now it completely disappeared, and nothing pops up when I press the friends icon in the top right corner. I have the correct settings on and I tried reinstalling, logging in and out, changing the wifi router. The only thing that works is when I unfollow a friend and then follow them again. Then, the sidebar pops up for a brief moment and then disappears shortly after. 

Please help me fix this! For reference, I have Spotify Premium for macOS (Apple Silicon) 1.2.35.663.gb699649e and my computer is an Apple M2 2022 Macbook Air.

Thanks for posting on the Community. 

Nice troubleshooting so far! It's also a good idea to try clearing your cache to remove any old files that might be causing issues.

It's also worth trying to disable hardware acceleration in the app:

1. Click Edit in the menu bar. Select Preferences.
2. Scroll down and uncheck Hardware acceleration.
3. Restart Spotify.

the buttons toggles on and off but the tab does not show, the now playing tab shows but not the friend activity
