Hiding songs without deletion

Wouldn't it be great to be able to hide songs in playlists without deleting them, so it doesn't play but it still saved. Cause I hate how I have to delete a song when I get tired of it, even though it still fits the vibe of the playlist. This would create kind of a history in each playlist, which you can go back to and unhide songs when you're not tired of them anymore. Making playlists would be a lot more fun:)
