My Question or Issue

I have recently created several dozen Christmas themed playlists, which I intended to be public so anyone who wishes to see them may do so by searching for them.  All of them are subtitled "An Art Gnuvo Christmas Mix" and as best I can tell, have all been added to my profile, "Art Gnuvo".  I would have assumed that anyone could now type "Art Gnuvo" into the Spotify search box and be able to see them but this is apparently not the case since I have asked several other users to do so and they cannot find them.  When they type "Art Gnuvo" into the Spotify search box they get a "No results found" message.   How do I fix this so that those playlists are made public so that anyone can search for them

From what I've seen in the past, a playlist will only show up in the search results once it gets enough followers. I'd say maybe 10-20 followers at least.

But it doesn’t make sense, cause the playlists from the previous years work normally - so if my friend shares the playlist on the profile I can go there and it is not directing me to my playlist.. so I dont think it is an expected behaviour

Hey @Marc78

The original author of this post was talking about how to get a playlist to show in search results.

It sounds like you are trying to share your 2021 Wrapped playlist.

Sharing links to "Your Top Songs of 2021" playlist will not take you to the other person's playlist. Instead, it will direct you to your own playlist this time. This is an expected behavior.

If you want to share your "Top 100 Songs" playlist with other people you can create your own playlist by copying over the songs to a new playlist:

On desktop: CTRL/CMD + A in the playlist > right click > Add to playlist > Add to new playlist or drag selection into a playlist in the left sidebar

Android app only: Tap on the three dot menu in the Top Songs playlist > Add to other playlist > New Playlist

As an alternative you can use the new "Blend Playlist" feature with a friend. After you have both joined the Blend, when you go to view the Blend playlist in the mobile app, there should be a bubble at the top of the playlist. When you tap on that you both can view your own personalized 2021 Wrapped: Blend Edition based on both of your music listening during the year. The Blend playlist itself still acts as a regular Blend playlist and matches the two people's music tastes and updates regularly.

2021 Wrapped: Blend – Tapping into the new Blend feature launched this year, Spotify fans can see how their 2021 music tastes match up with friends, stream their blended playlist, and share their results on social. Compare your music taste in 2021 with a friend and get a blended playlist.

Yes, accidentally I posted it here. Nevertheless I dont think your answer is actually solving the issue here, as sharing the link to the list worked in the previous years without the need to copy and paste existing playlists or creating blends. If my friend is sharing a top songs playlist I should be able to normally enter it like in the years before, that was just a click. 🤷‍♀️

Just out of curiosity, did you try to search for my playlists?  When I am logged on to my account, I can type "Art Gnuvo" in the search box and all my playlists are listed.  Apparently when anyone else tries while logged into their own accounts, they get the "No results found" message

Hi there, exactly the same thing happened to me. I have done what the instructions say you should do when I google on the problem but it doesn`t help. Can anyone help with this problem!?

By the way I searched for your playlist and couldn`t find it....

@ArtGnuvo

When I try to search for that nothing shows up. When you search for your own playlists they will always show up and if there are others with similar names, your playlists get priority to show up first before other playlists so that it's easy to find your own playlists when you are using your own account.

I think you need more playlist followers first before the playlist will show up in search. One of my playlists has 26 followers and it shows up in search. My other playlist only has 16 followers and it doesn't show up in search. I think maybe 20 followers is what you need minimum for the playlist to show in search.

I think it works like this so that a whole bunch of playlists don't spam the search results and it's easier to find playlists that are of interest.

Hey @ArtGnuvo

I am able to see your playlists in search now. I guess it just takes some time to show up and a certain follower count is not needed.
