How to delete recent played list

hi i have in my recent played lit pretty**bleep** and i want to get rid of it

i have search after tutorials they said press on these 3 dots and so. but i dont have these 3 dots

Hi there @TheWildPlant,

There is no way to remove the recently played list or delete items from it. This list updates automatically based on your listening activity. Keep listening to the content you like and it will update over time.

In this case, would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you meant so we can better visualize what you're describing? It'd be helpful if you send us the make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you are currently running.

On another note, is important to take into account that if you're referring to some suggested content you can see on your start screen, we can confirm is not possible to remove it. Another user had a similar idea, so they posted on our Idea boards about it here. 

Even though the status is set as Not right now as there are no immediate plans to implement this, it doesn't mean the idea has been rejected. We’d suggest adding your vote and subscribing to the idea to get notified as soon as we have any updates to share.

hi, i wanted to open spotify and send the screen shot but it looks like my spotify is corrupt. i tried reinstalling it but it still dindt work.

Could you let us know if you’re still having troubles when using our app? 

It's worth mentioning that yesterday Spotify was presenting some technical difficulties to some of our services and the Spotify app on different platforms was also affected. That might be the reason why you've experienced this. 

We'll be on the lookout for your update.

Glad you sorted it out and apologies for any confusion created on our end. We asked for a screenshot because there are various sections on different platforms called Recently Played with slightly different functionalities. 

Listening history consists of the songs that you've listened to in the past and as @Alex mentioned earlier, it's currently not possible to remove or delete items from this section. 

Home feed shortcuts are the recommendations you see on your Home screen. These suggestions are based on what is most popular with other users who listen to similar content as you. There is no way to manually edit those right now as well. 

If you'd like to have the option to customize the Home screen, check out this Idea here. Make sure you leave a +Vote to support it, so that it would have a better chance of being considered, as Spotify always strives to improve your experience. The more votes an Idea gets, the more likely it is to get implemented.
