I have a dead playlist

I have a dead playlist

I have a playlist in my library that was made by someone else. However it is now dead. No music, no user information, no title. Not even an option to unfollow it or delete it from my library. Any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

 

We'd recommend that you log out > restart your device > log back in to see if that'll make a difference.

 

Something else you can also try is clearing cached files on the affected device by following these steps.

 

If you still experience this, we'd suggest that you log in on another device and try to remove this playlist. In case you don't have another one available, you can open the Spotify Web Player and test this.

 

Tip: if someone’s gained access to your account and perform any actions in an unauthorized way - head here and see what steps you'd need to take. If that's the case - to prevent this from happening in the future, there are many measures you can take to protect your account, such as resetting your password every few months, and not using passwords you have used on other sites. There is also a great guide here with some more measures on protecting your account.

Thanks for your reply and for trying all the recommendations we sent.

 

To take a closer look, send over the playlist link. To get it, go to the Playlist > Select the 3 dots > Share > Copy link. Additionally, send us a screenshot of how you see the playlist when you select it.

We'll see what we can suggest.

I had this problem too but what worked for me was getting the app on my computer and right clicking on the dead playlists to unfollow them.
