My Question or Issue

(Also tested on a web players on Safari and Firefox, it seems to work as intended)

I have a bunch of playlists in a folder, each one named like "X - playlist" or "Xy - playlist", in order to have them ordered as I want, first by a short label, then by a longer name. But, as showed on the screenshot, the order is not respected. Randomly, playlists get placed in between other playlists having the same prefix.

Example:

I get the following ordering:

T - Hard Techno

Tr - Trance

T - Techno

instead of

T - Hard Techno

T - Techno

Tr - Trance

Hey @minimoog,

Welcome to the Community forum and thanks for reaching out!

We checked and could reproduce the same behavior both in the Web Player and Spotify desktop app. We're always looking for ways to improve and offer better functions to our users and really appreciate you sharing your opinion on the matter.

For the time being, in order to have your playlists sorted correctly across devices (both in the Web Player and the app), I recommend sorting them by Custom order in the desktop app and rearranging them in the order you'd like (by dragging them). This should make them synchronize across devices, when you've set the sorting by Custom order.

Thanks once again and don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.
