My Question or Issue

Every time that I resize the Spotify window, the Library, Now Playing, and Queue tabs change to an obnoxiously large size. I have them pushed as small as they can be while still displaying textual names, but they become significantly larger when I resize the window. This happens when I resize it by dragging the window around, using the minimise/restore options in the top right, or using the arrow key shortcuts either to snap the window to a certain spot or to a different monitor.

Hi there @Alpheus7th!

You mentioned that you use more than one monitor. Do all monitors share the same resolution/scaling? If they don't, then this might have an effect on the Spotify window, so try changing the resolution/scaling so that it matches across all monitors to see if that does the trick.

Something else you can try is disconnecting the extra monitors to see if the issue would still occur.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers 🤘

Hello,

My monitors are different resolutions and aspect ratios. I'm not sure if it's possible for them to have the same scaling given that, but they're reasonably close.
However, the issue still occurs without the secondary monitor connected and when moving Spotify around on one monitor.

I only ever move Spotify around on my laptop's monitor. I find that when my second monitor is connected and I open Spotify, it displays about 5 pixels on the second monitor when it is set to fullscreen on the laptop. To fix this, I snap Spotify to half the laptop screen and then back to fullscreen. The tabs resize when it is restored to fullscreen.

Given there are two resizings in that, I am wondering if the issue is related to Spotify not remembering the tab size when restoring to a previous size, and is instead scaling the size of the tabs from the smaller window to the larger one.

Thanks!

Thanks for the additional info @Alpheus7th! We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment, but we’re constantly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone and your feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

The Community is here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

Take care 💚
