My Question or Issue

i recently been seeing new music being added to my library without my consent or taking any such action, i want to know how can that happen and how to prevent it.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community. 

 

Could you please let us know which device you're using? 

 

If you're experiencing this on your mobile device, we can assume that you have the newest Smart Shuffle feature turned on on your playlist and that might be the reason why this is happening.

 

If that's the case, we'd suggest that you turn it off and check if you'll experience the same. You can turn Smart Shuffle on or off whenever you want by tapping through the Shuffle button at the top of your playlist or on the Now Playing View. 

 

You can find more info about the Smart Shuffle in this article. If you have any input about this new feature - you're welcome to share it in this thread as your feedback is important to us!

 

If the above is not the case and if you think someone’s gained access to your account and added the songs - head here and see what steps you'd need to take.

Thanks for your reply,

I am actually using Spotify on both desktop and android device (Xiaomi Poco F1)

and this issue occurs on both of them.

 

i looked into the shuffle option as well, its says (Smart Shuffle, Shuffle and get recommendations in your queue, refreshed daily.)

so i don't think that shuffling has anything to do with it.

 

my concern are all those strange Spanish songs that are getting added to my library as "being liked" and i did not like or even listen to those songs.

Thank for the reply and all additional info!

Just to be on the safe side, since you mentioned that you don't quite recognize the songs, could you try changing the password for your account? Once that's done, head over to your account page > scroll down and select Sign out everywhere.

We also suggest that you have a look at this page and remove access to any apps that you're not familiar with. You can always relink your apps at a later occasion, if needed.

Shouldn't that do the trick, we recommend getting in touch with our Customer Support team. They have the best tools to help you further in this case.
