Liked songs disappearing from library -reinstalled app and no change

Liked songs disappearing from library -reinstalled app and no change

Liked songs disappearing from library -reinstalled Android app on Samsung phone (S21?) and no change.
Noticed several weeks ago songs kept disappearing from my library and they are still available in Spotify so there are no rights issues.

If this post sucks, blame the Help Wizard please, for not asking better questions.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for reaching out. Can you tell us a bit more about the behaviour? Do songs you add to your Liked Songs not get saved and get subsequently removed when you close and reopen the app? Or is it that random songs get "unliked"? Does this happen on all devices or only on your Samsung? Tell us more and send us some screenshots, we'd be happy to investigate.

Hi Joan. I'm not on my desktop very often so the response was delayed.

Liked songs appear to be saved but when I go to listen to them at a later time (not same day), the song is no longer in my library. It appears that random songs get "unliked" except that my entire Kurt Vile and Depeche Mode likes disappeared so it is difficult to tell randomness (when I have one or two songs by an artist) vs. entire wipe outs of a few artists that I have a lot of likes of. This behavior appears consistent across my Samsung device and Microsoft Surface. If you can tell me which screenshots would be helpful, please let me know.

Do you think it's possible that someone else is logged in on your account? Could you try securing it as described here

Hi - that's possible but not likely. I've never shared my password, it is complex, and I've never received a "sign in from a new device" email that wasn't caused by my activity. I completed the steps in the linked guidance. I continue to find songs that have been unliked.
