Liked songs shows two of the same song

Solved!

Liked songs shows two of the same song

When clicking the "add to playlist" button for songs, the dialogue that pops up doesn't show all of the playlists the song is added to?

100 Bad Days by AJR is added to my following playlists: Rockets, Chill, Shower, Road Trip, and Liked Songs (Twice?).

In road trip clicking the button shows the song is only added to road trip. In all other playlists, it shows the song is in all other playlists but not road trip.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Hi @Æ1,

Thanks for the reply. If the copied link is different, especially the long alphanumeric code inside, then these are definitely two different versions of the song that are treated as separate tracks, which would explain the playlist discrepancy.

Hope this clears things up.

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out!

Could you check to see if this would happen on another device? You could ask a friend or family member to test. For starters we'd recommend clearing your cached data as that might have something to do with this.

Hope this helped out. If needed, could you send us a screenshot of how things look on your end.

Cheers.

Yes the problem persists on different devices.

Upon further investigation, the link generated when sharing the song from road trip vs the other playlists are different. Excluding the text after "?si=". Could there be two versions of the songs on Spotify's end?
