Local File Grayed Out Only in Playlists

My Question or Issue

I have some local files in Spotify that up to now have been playing fine. I’ve added some of them to my Spotify playlists. Beginning yesterday (October 9th, 2023) one of those local tracks has become grayed out in the playlists I’ve added it to and won’t play. If I got to the Local Files folder in Spotify I can click on it there and it plays fine. But it won’t play in any of the playlists it’s in. This isn’t happening with other tracks in my local files. Any ideas how to resolve this?

If it's happening with just one track, we'd recommend removing it from the playlists and deleting the audio file from the local files folder. After this, add the audio file to the folder again, and add it to your playlists to see if it makes any difference. If you have any doubts with the process, check out this article for more info on how to sync the local files from your PC over to your iPhone.

Also, since this could be also related to the audio format, we'd recommend checking if the file was downloaded from an official source. If not, we'd recommend trying with a different file downloaded from a different website.
