My Question or Issue

So like many users now, it seems after a recent update or so, I am now suffering issues with local files not working.

I have now turned on the 'show unplayable files' to see that they are showing up at least. I have tried all available suggestions on this page and others to no avail- full uninstall, reinstall, change of source folder and so on, removing file properties

Is there anything I am missing? I make music as a fun side hobby so its a shame I cant play my local files! Hopefully we will get a fix soon

Hi there @Bongosloth,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Can you let us know exactly what's happening? Are you having trouble to sync your Local files from your desktop to your iPhone? They sync but can't be played, or they don't appear at all?

We'd also like to know if they can be played on your computer without issues.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply to see what we can suggest.

Apologies for any confusion.

So essentially I used to get local files to work by forcing them through
connect via the pc to play them on the mobile device - all good.

Now they aren’t syncing. I can play them on the pc fine. I have moved the
local folder, added them again but no joy.

Tried router today, still not working. So that’s a full reinstall, change
of folder, file properties, router.

Again I have switched on the ‘show unplayable’ so I can see the local files
at least.

Thanks

Hey @Bongosloth

Thanks for getting back to us.

If this persists after the steps you've tried so far, make sure to check if any power saving settings or data cleaning apps run active on the device. Such features can often prevent the app from operating at full capacity. We also suggest accessing the app settings and making sure all Permissions are enabled for Spotify.

In case you still experience this, it's a good idea to check if the issue could be device-related. If possible, try logging in to your Spotify account on a different device to test if you observe the same. If it doesn't occur on another device, we'd suggest making sure that your original device is up-to-speed with any software updates available.

Hope this helps. Keep us in the loop here.
