My Question or Issue

On the desktop app, most of my local files have loaded all of their respective metadata normally; title, artist, album, album cover, etc. However, I've recently tried uploading some files but they all appear lacking everything but the title, as well as being out of order. When I open the files' metadata, it's all there, so I'm wondering why it's unable to transfer over to Spotify for these files specifically

Hello 💚

I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles with playing local files.

I suggest checking out this FAQ,it has information on what do in such instances.

If it doesn't prove useful however, get back to me and we'll figure out a way forward.

Have a good day 💚

Hi there @pogostycks,

Thank you for sharing this issue with the Community!

The correct metadata upload depends on how the metadata itself is saved within the specific files.
Spotify is always striving to improve its services but such inconsistencies may still occur at times.

We'd recommend taking a look at this page to see what you can try to re-sync the tracks to see if that will make a difference.

You could also try doing a clean reinstall for troubleshooting's sake, preferably after cleaning the cached data 🙂

Let us know it goes.

We'll be on the lookout for your response.

Cheers!
