My Question or Issue

I have a bunch of local files that I like to keep synced to my phone, from my Mac, and I enable the local files, make a playlist, sync it to the phone, use it for a few days, and somehow, it later disappears from the phone, only to realize that the Mac app has disabled local files by itself. I have to enable them again, and resync, then, it disables again... Every time the app on the Mac is relaunched, it disabled local files by default, when I wish them to be enabled. Please, fix.

Hi @DanSinclair!

Do you use any cache clearing software on your Mac? If yes, then make sure Spotify is added as an exception, as the software may be clearing Spotify's cache and resetting your preferences to the default.

It's important to note that some changes on the way local files work were introduced recently, so it may no longer be possible to sync local files from your computer to your phone. The files have to be uploaded manually to the phone in order to be played by Spotify. More info can be found in this article.

Cheers!
