My Question or Issue

I have a folder on my desktop called 'music', containing local mp3 files. A local files folder exists in my library and all my mp3 files from this folder are there. 'Show local files' is enabled in settings. I have just added a new mp3 file to the folder on my desktop, but it is NOT in the local files folder in my Spotify library.  Why does it not appear automatically, as I have told Spotify to add that folder as a source? I have logged out and back in, gone offline and online again. What do I need to do to get Spotify to 'see' my new file

Hey @Wamsilli1,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

The newly added song should appear automatically.
In case it doesn't, we'd suggest removing the folder source from the app settings and turning off 'Show local files'.
You can then restart the app and re-enable 'Show local files'.
After this is done and the source files are re-added, all should work as intended.

Let us know if any further issues arise.
Cheers!
