My Question or Issue

So I have copied my local files into a 'new folder' and I can see a total of 3999 songs in it, however, when I try to copy (ctrl A) to a playlist I only get the first 13 songs showing. How can I move all songs into my playlist? Also, since there does not appear to be a paste feature I am using 'add to different playlist'. Why is there no paste feature??

Hey there @tvbax,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We could not replicate the behavior you kindly posted about here. You should be able to use shortcuts to copy songs from a playlist and paste them into a different one. You should also be able to select all songs on a playlist by pressing Ctrl + a.

In that sense, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this issue. This will also help re-sync your local files. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

On another note, a workaround that can help select all songs from a playlist is holding the shift key + clicking the right button on your mouse over the last song of the playlist. That will also select all tracks. Try it and let us know if the same happens.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us the following:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there.
  • Does this same behavior occur on a playlist without local files?

Keep us in the loop!
