My Question or Issue

This is hard to explain, but check it out. I see this a lot, and need to know more details about it.

I had some songs in my 'Liked Songs' list. In today's example, Iron Maiden - Killers. I had most (all?) of the album songs 'liked'. The album was 'Killers (1998 Remastered Version).

However, if you go to the Iron Maiden artist page, and look at the albums, the 1998 remaster doesn't exist. It does show the 'Killers (2015 - Remaster)' album. But as you can see, none of my liked songs are shown, as this is a different album.

So I guess that's my question. What happened to the 1998 album? If I "unlike" any of them in my playlist, they're gone for good. Not the end of the world, I can just Like the 2015 versions. But the bigger issue is, I may search the album one day, and only get the 2015 album in my results. Seeing they're all unliked, I start liking them.

Here's where things get weird. So if I like one of the tracks in the 2015 album, I now have two of the same title (but different album) in my Liked Songs. BUT, if I un-Like either of them, they BOTH disappear. (!)

So what the **bleep**? Why does this happen? And maybe more of a side note, Wikipedia makes no mention of a 2015 Remaster.

One other thing I might add, and perhaps the reason I brought this up, is that I really think that I'm not hearing the songs that are in this twilight zone. I just checked another artist Iike - Megadeth. I have numerous songs from their first album Liked, but when I check the artist albums and look at their first album, it shows ZERO likes.

So in other words, it's not playing some songs I Liked, because they're technically not part of the catalog anymore. And I'm ok with this, but if Spotify is yanking these legacy tracks out of the catalog, why not RE-ADD the ones that are now available?

Thanks for the link, while this is similar to what I'm describing, it's not quite the same thing. These are technically not duplicates, as they are from different albums. And, each remastered album offers a different song, if sonically analyzed.
