My Question or Issue

Every time I go to play a song from a playlist in a subfolder, Spotify immediately puts that subfolder on the top of the others within the same folder. I have my playlists sorted purposefully on my computer and those remain unchanged no matter what I play or when, but on Android they keep getting rearranged even though I have already set my playlist sort mode to "Custom Order" or even "Alphabetical" prior to opening the folder/subfolders at all. This is getting increasingly frustrating and I have force stopped Spotify, logged out and logged back in, uninstalled and reinstalled, and this keeps happening. Attached screenshots show me going into the folder, subfolder and the order both the subfolder and playlist I pick are in alphabetically prior to me playing a song from the playlist, which results in screenshot two, the rearranged order.

Hey there! Glad you asked.

I had the same question but I found that this is how folders work on Android. For now, the way it is arranged is that when you play a playlist from a folder it sorts by 'recently played'. However, we have our own sorting choices on the main library page. If you would like to, then check out if the idea of sorting types inside folders is already suggested(then vote it up) or you are always welcome to suggest it here. So long story short it is not a bug or issue but the way it works as of now.
