My Question or Issue

I believe I have reached the maximum number of playlists for my account. Not that I have received any sort of notification, however. I am at the point where I need to delete playlists in order to add more. OK, understood. What I don't understand is that my playlist count seems to be based on the total number of playlists I have created, not the current number of playlists I have. For example, when I click "create new playlist", it generates a blank playlist titled "My Playlist #10,672". The problem is I don't have 10,000+ saved playlists. I maybe have 1,000 playlists saved. Over the course of my Spotify membership I certainly have created many playlists, but I've also deleted most of the playlists I've created. Why does my playlist count seem to depend on the total number of playlists created, rather than those saved? What are my options moving forward?

Could you let us know if the same happens across device or only on a specific one?

 

On another note, keep in mind that having a large amount of playlists or saved songs can affect the app's performance. In this case, we'd recommend merging some of your playlists to avoid issues while creating new ones.
