Print Spotify playlists to PDF

Print Spotify playlists to PDF

Hi.
I have struggled a long time to copy playlist data to conversations about music with my friends.

I would have liked to have a copy or export feature for playlist, artists, alvums and titles, but there's no working feature to do this.

There were old threads about this but they are locked and their solutions obsolete.
I have now found a workaround so I post this as a question with an answer directly

You can plot your playlists to PDF from a webpage view of Spotify.

Then copy and paste the text from the PDF to another text editor.

It can only print one web-screen worth of titles at a time. So zoom out as far as possible to get the most out of each printing.

If your playlists are long. just scroll down and print the next section.

The rows are copied without separators for artist, titles etc.so it's a little limited as a result, but far better than nothing.

Also some character combinations may be written as ligatures (the font connects certain character combinationslik e "fl" to a combined character). These may be lost in copying the test from the PDF. Do some spot checks for missing characters if this is a problem for you.

I found a sweet way to do it...

Either take a screen shot zoomed all the way out on a PC computer or on your phone, and then use word detection from the phone (iPhone, not sure about droids) and then voila, list!

Hey, I noticed you're looking for a way to export Spotify playlists. I recently stumbled upon a pretty neat tool that you might want to check out:  https://medium.com/@needpp.com/how-to-print-your-spotify-playlist-a-complete-guide-34ebcc01ab66

It's super easy to use - just paste your playlist link, and it generates a PDF for you. You can even choose between 3x3, 3x2, or fullpage formats. I think it's way more convenient than manually printing web pages.
