My Question or Issue

For months now, on my home screen on my desktop application and on the web player, a single album shows up under "Recently played", even though I played it only once months ago, and have played many other songs since. Note that the "Recently played" PLAYLIST is updated normally, but that's not what appears on the home screen. I've reinstalled Spotify, cleared the "Recently played" playlist, but none of these have worked. I don't believe the problem is with my local application because the same issue occurs on the web player. It does NOT happen on my Android app.

Hey there @ernieba1!

Welcome to the Community and thanks for bringing this up with us.

Right now we have an Ongoing issue with what you seem to be experiencing with the Recently played section on your computer.

You can leave your +Vote here and subscribe to the thread to get updates when we have some more info on this.

Hopefully we'll have this sorted out. Let us know if there's anything else we can help out with 🙂

Hi Elena,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I think you may have shared the wrong link, as the issue in the link is not similar to my issue.

Oops, sorry @ernieba1!

I meant this Ongoing issue instead. Thanks for pointing this out.

Have a lovely day!

Ah, yes, that's much more similar. But it looks like this was reported 10 months ago and there's been no fix yet. That's a long time to have a major bug in a paid subscription service. Does "Status: Not Right Now" mean there's no plan to fix it?

Thanks for checking back @ernieba1!

The ''Not right now'' status is used to signify that the developer team is aware of this issue but they haven't found a solution for it yet.

We're not able to give an exact timeline for a fix on this as it may be connected to other features that are in development or there's another reason this can't be solved right away.

We do keep an eye on the issues with that status and pass on feedback if needed to speed up the process. In these cases we recommend keeping the app up tp date as fixes are launched with every new version.

Hope this shines some light on the matter!
