Remove Artists from Home page

When spotify ran that promotion after one member of De La Soul died i accidentally clicked on the popup. Since then De La Soul has been on my homepage even though i dont listen to them. I already ignored the group but it didnt change anything. This is also true for other artists I randomly clicked once or twice. Yet the artists i listen to every single day never show up. How is that logical? Do the artists have a promotional deal to get pushed to the top? Spotify should really allow users to tailor their homepage because as it stands the homepage is just a waste of space because its always filled with random trash i dont listen to.
