Removing downloaded songs but not delete them

My Question or Issue

Ok, I have read several articles about how to do this, but still can't figure it out! I switched my liked songs to download not thinking of all the space it would take. And now have no space left on my phone. So, how do I un-download the songs, but not delete them from my library? I tried switching the toggle from download back to off, and even restarted my phone and the storage space is still exactly the same. Any ideas? I really appreciate any help anyone can give me!! Thank you!!

Fear not as help has arrived!

Follow this steps to take that space back:

1. Tap Home.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll to Storage, and select Delete cache.
4. Tap Delete cache.
