My Question or Issue

The inclusion of Podcasts and audiobooks has made browsing and using spotify very messy and disorganised. I only want to use spotify for music, but can't find the option to make music only the default.

Everytime i open the app, it defaults to show all, which ruins the experience of finding and discovering new music.

Hi, @Thirks1
Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us!

Currently, there is no way to remove podcasts and audiobooks from the app, but you can use filters to just see music content on the Home screen, for example. You can also use filters on Your Library and the Search page, as well.

Stay awesome!

If you have further questions or if you need anything else, let me know! I'd love to help!

Hi Luan,

To clarify it's not so much of removing them, but a setting so that those filters are applied by default. everytime i open the app, the filters reset.

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, this isn't the app normal behavior, as you spotted. However, feel free to submit a new idea requesting this feature.

I guess it’s Spotify going down the iTunes road to mediocrity by trying to do everything, instead of just excelling at music.

It’s so irritating to think you’re browsing music and get confronted with a screen of Prince William’s audiobooks or whatever **bleep** they’re pushing.
