Hey @C84327,

Thanks for reaching out,

If we understood you correctly, the My Shazams playlist is empty since you've enabled the option Show audio files from this device. Did the playlist contain any tracks prior to that? What happens when you disable the option?

To troubleshoot the issue, please try the following:

  • Make sure you've connected the correct Shazam/Spotify account.
  • Remove the connection from your account page and connect again from the Shazam app.
  • Check if the playlist is empty on other devices as well.
  • Log out and back in from Spotify after shazaming a song to force a re-sync between the two accounts.

Let us know how it goes.

It still doesn’t work

Hey @C84327,

Thank you for keeping in contact.

If you've tried all the troubleshooting previously sent by @MihailY, would you mind confirming if the playlist contained any tracks before you enabled the option Show audio files from this device? If so, does it make any difference if you disable it again?

Also and if the issue persists, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hey @C84327,

Thank you for keeping in contact.

We know we have asked this question before, but could you confirm if the playlist had any tracks before you turned on the option to Show audio files from this device? If it did, would it change anything if you decided to turn it off again? This would give us a better understanding of what could be happening.

We'll be around.

No it did not.

Hey @C84327

Thanks for your reply!

We recently discontinued support for a legacy developer service which allowed apps like Shazam to use and interact with Spotify and stream audio. We understand this is frustrating for you.

We recommend you reach out to the support team for Shazam directly regarding their ability to pursue alternative options.

Cheers.
