Shuffle not working in big Liked playlist

I can't play my liked playlist in shuffle when enhanced is active. When I clic "enhanced", the shuffle icon turns grey, I can turn it back to green, but playing starts with the fist song of the playlist, the shuffle icon in the playing song window is grey and can't be turned on.

When disabling "enhanced", the shuffle works fine.

My playlist contains 7152 songs, and 10728 when "enhanced" is on. I wonder if the shuffle is broken because there is more than 10000 songs in the playlist, as I understand that 10000 songs is the maximum for any playlist.

I have tried logout, delete the app, reboot, reinstall. I tried clearing cache.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

The large number of songs in the playlist may very well be the reason that Shuffle is not working as expected, since the songs in the playlist go over 10000. Even though there is no concrete limit to amount of tracks in a playlist, if it passed 10000 songs, the app can't update data in real time reliably and issues like this start to happen.

I'd suggest splitting the playlist into a few smaller ones.

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough, this problem occurs in my “liked” playlist, not in a normal playlist. I can’t split it.

Having over 10 000 songs in any playlist (including the Liked songs) might interfere with the app's performance on your device. We usually recommend to split the songs out in smaller playlists, this would make it easier. 

We’re always working on possible advancements and new features, including improving functions with bigger playlists. 

We also appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and we'll make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

Hopefully you'll see if it gets improved soon but we can't give you an exact time frame for this.
