Spotify adds songs to my (long) playlist without my permission

I have premium, yet for some inexplicable reason, spotify keeps adding songs of a particular artist to my favorite playlist, which is already close to 50 hours long. And it's not just a single song or a couple of songs. I removed around 40 to 50 yesterday, another 5 or so this morning and just now another 21. Why is this happening and how do i stop it? It's extremely annoying and not supposed to happen.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

In this case it's a good idea to go ahead and secure your account using the instructions in this Support Page. Don't forget to change the password for any service associated with your account, such as your email address, Facebook, or Apple.

We recommend that you also have a look at all third party apps that have access to your Spotify account and remove any you don't recognize. You can learn how to do this here.  For the other ones you should update the login info as well.
