Spotify should correct the glitch concerning incorrect dates of added songs in playlists and liked

Spotify should correct the glitch concerning incorrect dates of added songs in playlists and liked

Several months ago, I have noticed a glitch where the dates of the songs that I add to my playlists are incorrect. It occasionally presents the correct date, but it does not in other times. I believe that this is a glitch that should be corrected for accuracy purposes.

Hi there @Manny20444,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you let us know if this occurs on one specific playlist or multiple playlists?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

Hello, I have tried the clean reinstall of the app, but it still shows the incorrect dates. I contacted your support team and they keep telling me that it is UTC. It has been a problem for two of my playlists: 98.7 AMP Radio and 93.9 Virgin Radio. On 98.7 AMP Radio, UTC has been shown to cause the following songs to have incorrect dates: One Last Time and Love Me Harder by Ariana Grande (which were both added to 98.7 AMP Radio on May 13, 2018, but the desktop displays May 14, 2018 instead), Save Your Tears by the Weekend (which was added to 98.7 AMP Radio on May 13, 2021, but it shows May 14, 2021 instead), Positions and 34+35 by Ariana Grande (which which were both added to 98.7 AMP Radio on May 13, 2021, but the desktop displays May 13, 2021 instead). I have tried emailing the support team, but they have not been helpful with my issue. Is it possible for a moderator or developer to manually edit the dates added for the aforementioned songs? I have massive OCD and this issue is very stressful and frustrating.

Hey @Manny20444,

Thanks for the reply.

We understand where you're coming from.

Unfortunatelly, there is now way to manually set and adjust dates when tracks were added to user playlists.

What you can try is logging out Everywhere and back in twice in a row. This will force sync your account with the servers. We can't guarantee that this will solve the issue, as it most likely occured because these songs were taken down from the Spotify catalogue for some time and re-added. This issue could also be related to corrupted cache/ app data on one of your devices, so you can try running a clean reinstall of the app on all devices, which you use in order to prevent this from happening in the future.

Hope this info helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
