Spotify takes forever to play songs in search

My Question or Issue

Spotify takes really long to play a song on search, or sometimes wont even play it at all. If I search up a song or artist and click play, nothing happens. Play bar goes blank, no title of a currently playing song, nothing happens. Sometimes it will start playing after several minutes of waiting, but sometimes it wont even play. However, if I search up a song and add it to any playlist in my library, even one that isn't downloaded, it will play instantly. I have an ethernet connection +1gbps, running on a high speed M.2 SSD, not a hardware or internet problem. Something wrong with spotify search. Have performed several clean reinstalls, logged out/back in, nothing works.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you make sure you're using the Microsoft Store version of the app and that you're running it as an administrator? Does the issue occur again?

It's also important to try a different internet connection, not because yours is slow, but to be able to exclude network related issues. You can create a hot spot from a mobile device for example.

Is this experience limited to your account? How does a new account behave?
