My Question or Issue

Since last week my "Taste Profile" just shows 1 playlist 8 times. Before I got an overview of my most recent podcasts and playlists. This is happening across all devices and Spotify is showing the same behaviour in every version of the app and in the browser.

Does anyone know how I can fix this or what is causing this?

Hey there @Faxxo,

 

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

In this case, we'd recommend trying the following to see if you notice any changes in this behavior:

  • Perform a clean reinstall of the app on all your devices. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure some damaged cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.
  • Check for anything suspicious on your Account Overview page and remove all apps connected to your account. If you notice anything suspicious, you can remove it with the REMOVE ACCESS button. You can easily reconnect the apps that you use whenever you want.

But, if this behavior should persist after that, we'd like to gather further info to better understand what's happening on your side. Just to confirm, when you mentioned your taste profile, did you mean some specific section within the app such as the Made for you or the Home page?

 

It'd be awesome if you could send us more info. You can share with us:

  • Some screenshots, so we can appreciate better this behavior. Note: Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info on the screenshot you'll send us.
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

Hi Aleja!

I have no explanation as to why but since Saturday (the day after posting here) everything returned to normal. The behaviour I noticed and described above went on for about a week.

I don't recall any OS and/or app update that that preceded this, but since I experienced the same behaviour across all devices and in browser and app I would be amazed if this is related to be honest.

 

The "Taste profile" I am talking about is not the "made for you" you referenced. It's the overview of my last played playlist/podcasts/albums/... I am sorry if I was using the wrong terminology, I did some quick research and I assumed that was the official name but I might be mistaken. And this overview was showing the same playlist for all

 

Anyway since everything is working as expected again I'll mark it as resolved, if you would want more info for further investigation I'd be happy to provide it.
