Transfer Downloaded Music

Transfer Downloaded Music

I am trying to transfer a ton of downloaded songs and playlists from my old phone to my new phone.

From my research, it says log out of Spotify on old phone.  Then download Spotify App on new phone and all of downloaded music should be there.  Well...its not there.  I have tried several times.

Any suggestions or ideas on how to get this music transferred???

Thank you for any help that can be offered.

Hey @btm32979, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Usually, when you get a new device, you should be able to view the music that you liked from your old device on the new device once you log in. Can you try logging out > restarting the device > logging back in?

If that doesn't work, can you let me know if you still see the songs on your old device?
Let me know how this goes!

@Billy-J ,

When I login to my account, I can see me liked songs.  However, my problem is I cannot find any of the downloaded music in my library.  I tried what you said, which made sense, however still no downloaded music.  Yes, I could see the liked and downloaded songs on the old device when it still had my account.  I had to return the phone to AT&T so I had to do a hard reset on it.

Thank you.

Hi there @btm32979,

Thanks for your post.

If you want to have your playlists and Liked Songs downloaded for offline listening, you'd need to click the Download button on each playlist. This will save your music on your phone, so you can listen to it offline. These settings get reset when you factory reset your device.

If you're referring to local song files, which you want to play with Spotify, please follow this guide in order to activate your local songs from your phone or sync them from your PC.

Hope this helps.
