Unable to add to collaboration playlist

I was invited to a collaboration playlist however, I have no option of adding songs. I also noticed I can not make any of the playlists I've created a collaboration playlist. Is this because I don't have premium?

Thanks for the post.

You should be able to add songs to a collaborative playlist even on a free Spotify account. The same goes for creating collaborative playlists. 

Can you let us know what device you're on (device model, OS version, Spotify versions), so we can offer more relevant advice and help further with this.
