Hi @Jamevans72,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or Xbox?
  • When did this start happening?
  • Does this affect all playlists or only specific ones such as Liked Songs?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Keep us posted.

To answer your questions in order:

1.Just Xbox the same doesn’t happen on the mobile app

2.cant give an exact date but around about the 20th of jan

3.just liked songs doesn’t happen to any other playlists

Hey @Jamevans72,

Thank you for the quick response and for the answers.

As possible troubleshooting we would suggest to try using another account to see if the issue will persist. Testing your networks speed and trying with another network. Also check to see if your console has an update available and same goes for the Spotify integration in the console.

Let us know how it goes.

I have tried with a different network, and the issue still occurs I have checked if the console and Spotify need an update, which they both don’t just to be thorough. I deleted the Spotify app on my Xbox and reinstalled it and the issue still occurs also tried creating a brand-new account to see if it’s an account issue, but I can’t find my liked songs on my profile with the new account, but I’m pretty sure the problem still occurs anyway

Hi there @Jamevans72,

Thanks for your reply and the info provided.

If it's a brand new account, then you must not have songs added to your Liked songs. To check, open the new account from a different device (it can be your mobile device) and try adding some playlists or albums to your Liked songs playlist. That way you can log in from your Xbox and check. Or you could as a relative or friend log in with their account on the console and quickly check if they have the same issue.

On another note, you could try power cycling your Xbox to see if that makes a difference. To do this, simply uninstall the app, press the power button for 10 seconds, unplug it from the wall, wait a few minutes, reconnect, power it back up, reinstall the Spotify app one last time, and see what happens.

Keep us posted!

It’s not my Xbox that’s the problem it’s Spotify’s problem

Hi @Jamevans72,

Thanks for keeping in touch.

We're trying different steps to get to the bottom of the situation. If it's not device-related, then we need to check if it's directly app-related or account-related. This means we need to know if it's an issue with the app or just your account because that can happen. That's why we requested to try with a different account that actually has songs added to the Liked Songs playlist. Were you able to do that? Remember you can add songs to the new account you created, or ask someone else to log in with their account and check.

We'll be here.

Same things happening to me

Hey @Aluviya,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

As @Susan_GP mentioned above, we'll need to try a few things in order to be able to find out what could be causing this issue.

With this being said, would you mind confirming if you have already followed all of the steps that were previously suggested? Make sure to also provide the info that @Joan requested.

We'll be on the lookout.
