"Your Library" shows "Recently played" instead of standard Music/Podcast options

My Question or Issue

When I navigate to the "Your Library" tab it's displaying "Recently played" creators with filterable options for Playlists/Artists/Albums/Podcasts (screenshot attached as Issue) instead of the standard Music/Podcast options (example attached as Standard). This happened after I accidentally selected something from the horizontal "Recently played" menu on the Home screen so I think I'm stuck in some sort of menu that's changed my Library. I have already tried a clean reinstall. Please help?

Thanks for getting in touch with us and welcome to the Community 🙂

 

We're constantly running tests in order to improve our app. It's possible that you might see some features that other don't or get certain ones only temporarily.

 

You can switch back to the classic version of Your Library in your Settings page. In order to access the Settings you can go through Your Profile in Your Library, in the top left corner.

 

You can also head here and share your feedback about this version.

Hi, Ver

Where in the Settings page can I switch back to the functional "Classic" version? I emailed back and forth with Spotify Support all of yesterday and this wasn't offered as a solution.

Could you try tapping your profile picture at the top left next to "Your Library"? Then you can click on Change Settings. The top setting should be New Your Library. You can try switching it off.

I do not have those options (screenshot attached) and have uninstalled/reinstalled the app multiple times in the past 24 hours (currently running version 8.6.2.774)

We apologize for the confusion, it seems that currently there isn't a way to switch back to the old library view. A possible workaround would be to create a new account and see if's part of the new layout test. If that's the case you can use the steps here to transfer your music collection.

 

We'd also appreciate it if you share your feedback on the new design here, as @Ver suggested. This would help us improve and provide you with the best experience possible.
