Accidentally forwarding the podcast or song when trying to unlock phone

When I'm listening to a podcast but I have my phone in my hand, I sometimes accidentally change the player position instead of unlocking the phone (swiping from down to up). This happens atleast once a day and is really frustrating because I lose the position I was at and it takes me at least 5 minutes to find where I was. You guys used to reset the position/not do anything if I still had my finger on the changed position but locked the screen. This was better because I could always lock the screen and not have the player position change, but now it still updates, and its super annoying.

To investigate this further, would you mind confirming if this behavior started after an OS update or a Spotify update?

Also, could you check with a different app as well to see if it persists? You can test this with a YouTube video just to be sure.

Lastly, and if possible, would you mind checking on a different mobile device to see if it makes any difference? If you have an Android device, it would be great if you could check this on an iOS and vice versa. In case you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
