Adding random songs to my playlist

Adding random songs to my playlist

I have autoplay turned off, that’s why I am posting— every help forum post seems to be from a few years ago, suggesting to turn autoplay off, or explaining the “enhance playlist” feature which I do not have enabled, or if I do, I’m not sure how to turn it off. When I look at the playlist it only shows songs I have added. However, it says the playlist is by my username AND Spotify. This is so unbelievably annoying. I don’t want song suggestions when I am trying to listen to my playlist. If I did, I would listen to one of the thousands of targeted AI playlists Spotify has. Please advise how to stop this from occurring.

Oh I get it. Smart shuffle toggled on (same button as regular toggle).

Hey there @User1421

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, are you still experiencing this?

If so, we suggest that you make sure to turn the Smart Shuffle off:

If after turning it off you're still experiencing this, could you let us know if this happens on all playlists or only on a specific one?

Lastly, sending us the the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy.

We'll be on the lookout.

An opt out of test features option would solve this! Smart Shuffle has become a thorn in my side and I'd love to have the option to not have to wait for it to load the smart shuffle, then switch to the type of shuffle I actually want. I have no interest in Smart Shuffle and I never have. It isn't something that fits with how I listen to music, it just ruins the experience of using Spotify for me. I don't know why I have to pay a monthly fee to personalize how I listen when the most irritating feature introduced so far comes up almost every time I've used Spotify for months and there's nothing I can do about it.
