AirPods - Can't resume play on video songs

My Question or Issue

I use AirPods. When I'm listening to a playlist, if I pause the music via removing the AirPods, when I put the AirPods back in, the music does not auto-resume if the song is a video song. After this, I can't resume the song at all by double tapping on the AirPods or from the lock screen, and I need to unlock the phone, open the Spotify app, and resume the song.

This is not an issue when the song is a 'regular song' (no video) - the song will auto-resume when I put the AirPods back in. This is also not an issue when not using the AirPods, or when using the double tap to pause and resume on the AirPods.
