Album art not displaying on car's infotainment system

My Question or Issue

Hi! So my issues start from the time iOS 15.5 went out. The car's info. system doesn't display the album art anymore (connected by bluetooth to the car). Current song information like Song name, Artist, Album are all ok but the album art is completely missing. Now I am on iOS 15.6 and have the same problem.

I also noticed that if I get a phone call when connected to the car's Bluetooth, when the call is finished Spotify doesn't automatically resume playing music. I have to manually press the pause button and then press play. 

Things I have tried:

-Installing Apple Music to see if it also has the same problem and no, everything is ok with this Apple's app.

-Reinstalling Spotify

-Resetting iOS

-Updating Spotify app

I’m having the same issues. After recent iPhone upgrade BMW 2016 X5 no longer displays artwork. However, Apple Music displays artwork. So I’m guessing it’s just Apple’s dirty way of trying to get us to switch from Spotify to Apple Music. Also, I have found no way to keep Apple Music from playing first when I turn on the car. Repeatedly have to switch to Spotify. If I was in charge of Spotify I’m looking into hiring a lawyer.

Album art will be missing 80% of the time in CarPlay, same goes for the Spotify app in CarPlay. Only way to make it pop up is to either restart Spotify every song or replay the song from the beginning.

for the past few weeks this has started happening for me. Both iPhone and Spotify app are up to date but still no change. If I pause, forward or rewind the track the album art appears. Up until a few weeks ago it was absolutely fine.

Same here. Never noticed it before. Spotify on CarPlay doesn’t show album art. Hitting pause then play fixes it per song, but problem recurs with every song.

im experiencing it too a few weeks ago until now. sometimes there is but if the art cover didnt show up i press the shuffle and the album art shows already, its annoying without album cover...

same problem too with spotify premium. previously I’ve never encounter this issue using spotify free. weird.

For over a month now Spotify has been nothing but pain especially on Carplay. Sometimes the App would be completely frozen after opening it forcing you to open the App on your phone and playing music from there. Also the album cover art on the phone and on carplay is either showing a different album or no cover at all. My App has the latest update and I’m also on the latest iOS version.

Hey Eni Im running the latest version of Spotify 9.0.14 with an iPhone 15 pro max running IOS 18.3 and have had this issue for a few months even with Spotify and apple updates

Nor sure what troubleshooting can do but would like the image back on every track obviously 😊
