Hey @DH121,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app as described here? Also make sure the background app refresh is turned on for Spotify. Here is more on that.

Let us know how that went.

Cheers!

Experiencing app crashes on your iPhone 12 while playing music can be frustrating. App crashes can occur due to various reasons, such as software bugs, memory issues, or conflicts with other apps. To troubleshoot and resolve this problem, you can try the following steps:

Update the App: Make sure you have the latest version of the music app installed. App developers often release updates to fix bugs and improve stability.

Restart Your iPhone: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or memory-related issues.

Check for iOS Updates: Ensure that your iPhone's operating system (iOS) is up to date. New iOS updates can include bug fixes and performance improvements.

Close Other Background Apps: Close any unnecessary apps running in the background, as they may be conflicting with the music app.

Clear App Cache: If the music app has a cache-clearing option, try clearing the cache to free up resources.

If the issue is specific to the music app and not affecting other apps, it's more likely a problem with the app itself rather than a broader issue with your iPhone. In such cases, contacting the app's developer or support team for assistance may be beneficial.

Before performing any major troubleshooting steps, it's a good idea to back up your iPhone data to prevent data loss. Also, if the issue started after installing a specific app or making changes to your iPhone settings, consider undoing those changes to see if it resolves the problem.

If the problem persists despite trying the above steps, and you are still experiencing app crashes, you may want to seek help from Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for further diagnosis and assistance.
