That's a great question! The "Available Offline" function allows you to choose whether to make an entire Album, Artist, Playlist, or a Single song available for offline use as a Premium subscriber.
The primary use of this is saving an artist's entire discography on Spotify as well as a favorite album or particular playlist instead of just making your music library available offline like Apple does.
