“Broadcast Device Status” Setting is completely gone despite it being there before(IPad)

My Question or Issue

So for a while I’ve been able to broadcast whatever I’ve been listening to on my iPad to my Discord status using the mobile app(I have never had to have the browser version open as well like most people do), as up until now, I’d simply just turned on the “Broadcast Device Status” setting under Playback in Spotify settings.

Now I don’t know if this was a recent update on Spotify’s end or Apple’s end(given how strict they can be when it comes to user data), but now that setting for Broadcast Device Status has simply disappeared after having worked completely fine for months now(it was working fine literally last night). I’ve checked multiple other posts regarding similar issues with the sudden disappearance of the broadcast option, yet I haven’t found any solution to this issue or reasoning as to why it’s happening.

Why was the option to Broadcast Device Status removed from my iPad’s Spotify App? If this is a bug, will it be fixed, or are there any current fixes for it(aside from opening discord in a web browser)?

We can confirm that the device broadcast option is not available on iOS devices.

We’re always testing possible improvements and new features, so you might see something on the app or get a brand-new feature for only a temporary period as part of a test.

On another note, other users feel that there should be such an option and there is an idea submission about this here. Make sure you leave a +Vote to support it, so that it would have a better chance of being considered.

As Spotify always strives to improve the user experience on our platform, we hope to see this option implemented for iOS users as well.
