Bugs on 1.5.0.2728 on iPhone

Bugs on 1.5.0.2728 on iPhone

First, let me say thanks to Spotify for introducing the equalizer.  IT appears to work well and is useful, especially when playing Spotify through a car sound system.

I'm disappointed to say there are still some very annoying bugs remaining in Spotify  1.5.0.2728, when used on an iPhone 3 model MC637B/A running iOS 6.1.6 (10B500) with 1.2GB remaining memory.

First let me define some things so the bug description is clear:

By the Song Display Page, I mean the page with the album art displayed and the large pause/play sensor beneath it.

By the Playlist List page, I mean the page with the list of songs on the selected playlist.

By the Your Music Page, I mean the page with 'Your Music' as a heading; the list of playlists.

What I've found is:

1. On the Song Display Page, the touch sensors for Skip Next, Skip Previous, and return to playlist page (list of songs on the playlist), are unreliable.  On most occasions they take an unacceptably long time to respond, like 5-10 seconds.  Other times they don't respond at all.  On a few lucky occasions they work properly.

2. On the Playlist List Page, the touch sensor at the bottom left of the screen that takes you to the song display page, has the same problem.

3. On the Your Music page, scrolling through the list of playlists is often jerky and slow, particularly when the Your Music page has just been entered.

(1) and (2) may have something to do with the area of sensitivity of the touch sensors above, for most of them are quite small.

4. When first selecting Spotify from the Home page, more times than not Spotify does not always resume operation on the last page used by the user, but reverts to a black page with the green Spotify logo and stays there for an unacceptable length of time before eventually running Spotify.

I'd be grateful if Spotify would address these issues on the iPhone 3, as they seriously impair what otherwise is a good system.  I have also an iPhone 4 which I sometimes use and will investigate whether this is also susceptible to these problems.

Thanks

John

Thanks @jfbear I'm sure the Spotify apps lags on the iPhone 3.. As some of the people here are facing this problem.

I have used Spotify on the iPhone 4 over the last few days and while the respose times to commands are much faster and less annoying, there are still commands that seem to 'get lost' about 10% of the time and need to be repeated.

I have just downloaded the  v1.6.0.1746 release onto my iPhone3 and will check it out over a few days.  On firsts try, I can see the general operation is significantly improved; much smoother and less jerky.  The skip next and skip previous commands on the 'song' page also seem to be much more responsive - similar to the Iphone4.  Well done, SApotify - thanks.  However, the screen change operation  from playlist 'list' to 'song' is still very slow - it takes about 7s to complete on my iPhone3.
