My Question or Issue

Why do the different versions of Spotify act differently? On my computer I can pick individual songs from my playlist and repeat or shuffle etc. them. That’s why I preferred Spotify over other options like pandora, being able to listen to certain songs on demand. But, on the iPhone app, you can’t. You can only shuffle. I’m aware that you need premium for the iPhone to pick songs, my question is why? The same rules should apply to the computer app on the Microsoft store as the apple store app. It’s frustrsting that this feature is free on pc and behind a paywall for mobile. I can’t even open the Spotify web player that opens on my pc on my phone through other browsers like chrome or Firefox, there’s no work around.

So my question is this. Is there a way to select specific songs you want played without premium on mobile? I was planning on buying it before, but seeing these shady buisiness practices is disswaying me a bit.

The reasoning behind being able to pick songs on a laptop/tablet is not explicitly stated, it should be noted, however, that there are other significant differences between the spotify free and premium subscription. spotify.png
