Can't Sync Local Files - Tried Everything

I've followed all the instructions for syncing local files from my Mac to iPhone but nothing works.

I can see the local files on my playlist as they show up under "up next" (greyed out) & when I shuffle the playlist it can come up with a popup telling me that I can sync the song but they don't appear in the playlist itself and don't download.

I've tried different WiFis, connecting my Mac to my phone as WiFi hotspot, I've completely disabled my firewalls (both Mac & McAfee) & I've deleted and reinstalled the apps on both devices but nothing works for me.

Does anyone have any advice?

I'm using a windows pc so I don't know if it'll help you, but:

I had the same problem, until I synced the same songs (the ones I have in Spotify's local files) via iTunes to my iPhone.
