Can't search after leaving offline mode

Can't search after leaving offline mode

I keep Spotify for iOS in offline mode most of the time, playing songs that I have downloaded to my phone. Whenever I go into Settings and toggle the Offline switch off, I can't search for anything until I force quit and restart the app. It just sits there with the little spinning circle until eventually the "Try again" error appears. I am on the most recent version of the iOS app (2.5.0.1664), but it was doing this before I updated as well.

Hey there, the first thing to try is a clean reinstallation.

You'll have to sync your offline tracks again after you do this. If you're still having trouble after that please let us know:

1. Your exact device

2. The device's OS

3. The Spotify app version installed

Thanks!

I did that and it worked for a few hours, but now it's back to the old behavior. I have an iPhone 5C with iOS 8.2 running Spotify 2.7.0.1943.

this same thing has been happening to me for the past month or so. very frustrating.

i have to power off and back on to get the search function working again.

and then as soon as i leave the app and come back, it reverts to the same issue.

i have tried a clean reinstallation - didn't help.

any other ideas?
