Can't sync local files to ipod touch 6th generation anymore

I have a 6th generation ipod touch that I use to create playlists which include files synced from my windows 11 desktop computer.  I use this to play in my car instead of my iphone so that my playlist isn't interrupted while driving long distances or at parties.  Unfortunately, I can't use airplane mode because of any emergency callss from my family.  The last time I synced files was September 2023. 

Today, I was trying to sync my playlist and my local files don't sync anymore.  I spent over 3 hours searching for any recent documentation but all I could find was documentation over 3 years old.  

Am I able to still sync local files unto my ipod?

We would recommend keeping the local files you would like to access on the device you use them on. Syncing a large amount of local files over a wireless connection may prove difficult. Here's an article just on the topic of Local Files, take a look.
